Since I got into basketball in 2019, as I became fascinated with Footwear Design. One Athlete stand out: Elena Delle Donne #11.
Delle Donne is a unique athlete on the court, and an authentic human being off the field.
I wanted to celebrate her inspiring personality through a quick project: Just a sketch which turned into a 3D model
Her nickname, “Masked Mystic” came from her acrylic mask protecting her broken nose. Elena kept on the mask after recovery just to boost her confidence during the game.
Elena Delle Donne is a cold-headed leader, that create a structure emerging in the Chaos of the Game to let her team members thrive in the most challenging times.
“Athletes are just known for excellence,
and that’s something I want to be known for.”
The shoe was designed in Gravity Sketch, UV-Unwrapped in Blender 3D, textured in Substance Painters and rendered in KeyShot.
